Lost in LA
words: Robert Campbell
music: Robert Campbell & Mike Sheppard
images: Robert Campbell

You can hang your body up in my room
Take your time
But you'd better come soon
I said - just give me one night
Alone with you
Lock the door
Turn out the light
Said - watch out kid
'Cause this is the night
I'm gonna blow you through the roof
I'm gonna kill you with the truth

Lost in LA
Lost in LA
Lost in LA
Lost in LA

I seen kids like you with daggers in their backs
Hooked into TVs and heart attacks
But I ain't never seen no-one
Do the things you do
Whatever you got
I want the same
We could make it like this
Do that again
We could write it on the wall
'Cause one word says it all

Lost in LA
Lost in LA
Lost in LA
Lost in LA

Close your eyes
I got a surprise
It's just as well I'm one of the good guys
What you want to do
You know, I'd do anything for you
'Cause I know what I got
And I know what it's for
Take me there
'Cause I been there before
Yeh - let's go all the way
'Cause I'm lost in LA

You hear people say
That one thing leads to another
So take it while you can
You won't get a second chance
Give it - give it - give it
One to another
Now I understand

One look and I knew
All those stories were true
I love you
I feel things going my way
Feel it - feel it - feel it coming
Lost in LA

I love the feel of the song and the sound of the sax. Mike was a great bassist so he really knew how to fit a song into a groove. This was another song we recorded at the Marquee with Phil Harding engineering.
